Ebony is a portrait of my youngest sister, and one of the first paintings I made in the Dazzel series. Dazzel is my high-contrast visual language of concentric circles and contour lines. It's drawn from WWI dazzle camouflage and the way zebras move as a herd, and it explores how an individual stays visible within a group. Here, that idea is turned toward someone close to me.

Each print is a premium Giclée on EMA fine art paper, with rich tones and crisp detail. It comes pre-taped to a thick backing board with a 2.4mm textured window mount cut from premium mountboard. It arrives in a protective, biodegradable bag.
